BBC Coverage

February 22, 2007 BBC did a story on the ministry and work of NightLight. You can find the story on http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/6360603.stm Due to the overwhelming response we will offer PayPal and Credit Card Payments for our online jewelry as of March 1, 2007. Thank you for your support and interest in our ministry. We now have 50 women working with us full-time. When you purchase our beautiful, handcrafted jewelry you help provide employment for former sex workers through our jewelry making business. Your support changes lives!

I'm glad the BBC article was linked to your website. You have a profound ministry, and I'm inspired by all that you're doing. I pray that God will continue to provide help and healing for victimized women and children around the world through brave individuals and organizations like yours. Thank you for shining the Light of Jesus Christ so brightly! It's great to see believers stepping in to do what's right, and doing it well.

Hello,

I am a new volunteer here at NightLight and have only been here for 12 days and yet I’ve been blessed. I’ve seen 3 women come to Christ and 10 women baptised, gone on a retreat and been lost in Bangkok. The lost in Bangkok was my fault but the rest has been all God.

Having heard a few of the women’s stories, it is amazing to see that they are so giving and free.

What a blessing it is to be working in the front office and see the women come into work, excited to start their workday in prayer and worship. As I walk through the workrooms, I here the women laughing as they are working. Even though I don’t know what they are saying, I can hear joy in their voices.

The Thai women are so eager to share their culture with me, seeking me out to make sure I know which dishes are not too hot for me to eat and that I have a good view whenever we are doing anything as a group.

On the retreat last weekend, many offered me samples of the treats they had purchased. They were making sure that I felt welcome and that I was enjoying their holiday as much as they.

God is at work here and He’s with us in the day as we work in the offices and especially with us as we walk through the streets and the bars during outreach.

Praise God.

Just wanted to say hello to the outreach team, of which I was part until I returned home in February. God is doing such wonderful things amongst the Thai girls and also the Eastern European women. I had to tear myself away, but I can't get out of my mind all that I witnessed. Keep up the tremendous difference you're making, and know that you are being prayed for. (Hope you're keeping on top of the 'creatures' at Soi 10!!)
Love to you, Penny UK
